The Norfolk hawker dragonfly (Aeshna isoceles) is a large dragonfly with distinctive green eyes, and is a familiar sight to visitors to the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. The species is one of just two brown dragonflies found in the UK, favouring marshes, fens and ditches, often where water soldier is growing. Norfolk Wildlife Trust works to protect and enhance this special habitat for the benefit of both people and wildlife.
