The Norfolk hawker dragonfly (Aeshna isoceles) is one of just two brown dragonflies found in the UK. It is a large dragonfly with distinctive green eyes, and is a familiar sight to visitors to the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. The Norfolk hawker is found on marshes, fens and ditches - often where water soldier is growing. Norfolk Wildlife Trust works to protect and enhance this special habitat for the benefit of both people and wildlife.
